| Andre Paskowski & Chico Bento at the surf-Festival Pelzerhaken! Andre Paskowski is attending the surf-Festival in Pelzerhaken. Thursday the 13th of May the german freestyle champion will be arriving with his brazilian friend Chico. Chico, who is also a professional windsurfer and known as an enthusiastic capoeira dancer, will present his spectacular brazilian dance moves on Thursday.

| Surf cinema powered by Tonix video surf shop! It will be the first time that there’ll be a cinema in the catering tent. There are three movie shows scheduled at 12pm, 6pm and 10pm. Everyone is welcome to chill, eat and watch some windsurf action. Besides some classic windsurf movies from the Tonix surf shop will be movie premieres:

| Fun Jumping for fundraising! „Jump and Help“ is a new activity taking place on the surf-Festival in Pelzerhaken in cooperation with the Festival Crew, “House of Hope and Jumpmax. The trampolin company Jumpmax offers everyone to jump for free and therefor you can give a donation.
You have also the chance to give a bid for the trampolin. On the last eventday the trampolin goes to the person with the highest vote. All revenues go to the children aid organisation „House of Hope“. They’re supporting orphans in Sri Lanka, Thailand and Germany.

| Kona-Cup celebrates his 3 years anniversary at Pelzerhaken Epuipment for the regatta can be borrowed
The only thing you need for the regatta is your neo, a trapeze and of course motivation. All other equipment can be borrowed at the event and regatta skills are not necessary.
In the scope of the Windsurf-Festival in Pelzerhaken the Kona-Cup takes place for the first time in germany this year. Fascinating slalom and course races are on the schedule in combination with a new regatta concept.
The motto of the french board brand is equal opportunities and pure fun at windsurfing as every participator has the same Kona One. Board, Rigg and Sail can be borrowed from the manufactuer at the event.
The judgement is as follows men with different big sails in the judgement groups light / heavy / heavyweight, Women and Kids get a special judgment.
The regatta takes place on Thursday, 13th May. The regatta begins at 12 o'clock. The participation including equipment costs 15€ for Adults and 10€ for Kids.

| Freestyle of Bonaire at the surf-Festival Neil Pryde's Teamrider Caesar Finies also called Ceasar SALAD comes to the surf-Festival Pelzerhaken. The 27 year old Caesar created the FLOWSTYLE, these are different maneuver with the sail at a breeze.
At one of his tricks he throws his sail in the air and catches it like a boomerang. In 1996 he started windsurfing, his friends Tonky and Taty inspired him. His answer to the question why he is doing windsurfing was just "Why not ? The power of the wind in the arms, the splash water at the feet and having a smile in the face...!

| surf-Challenge at the surf-Festival Pelzerhaken Everybody can participate at this regatta. The rewards will be hand out just to participators, who won't be listed in the rankings of the DWC or IWA in the season 2009/2010.
The goal of the race is to get as much as possible rounds in during the period of one hour. The race course is a simple Figure 8 Salom.
All racers start together and winners are crowned in the following age groups:
- U 15 (under 15 years old) : born 31.4.1995 and after
- U 17 (under 17 years old) : born 31.4.1993 and after
- U 19 (under 19 years old): born 31.4.1991 and after
- Master : born 1.5.1975 and after
- Grandmaster : born 1.5.1965 and after
On Thursday there will be a workshop for the participants of the regatta, hosted by the PWA Pro Klaas Voget. A highlight will be the “Pasta Party” for all participants in the evening.
The Regatta will start on Friday (14th May) and Saturday (15th May).
The winners of each category will gain fame and honour besides rewards amounting to a 3000€ - purse.

| Give away from JP! Every participant of the surf-Challenge has the chance to win a brand new windsurfing board. JP donted a JP Supersport 118 Pro Edition (amounting to 1799€)
The board has one special, that can't be buyed in any shop – the board is hand signed by Antoine Albeau .
The pro surfer won several windsurfing world championship titles during his carrer and also reached a new windsurfing speed record in march 2008.
He surfed 49.09 knots (90.91 km / h) fast on a 500 meter course on the Cote d'Azur.

| The Beach Camp The Surfcity Pelzerhaken will be visited by over 10.000 windsurf fans – who would prefer to stay as near to the beach as possible - no problem!
Because one of the ultimative highlight of the events will be the Beach Camp, which is located directly at the event area.
All campers are welcome to build up their camping arenal with their campmobile and could infect by the positiv festival mood. Everybody could camp till 7 days against a small service charge.
The location of the Beach Camp is perfect for all windsurfers, who don’t want to miss a breeze and who brings their own surf stuff to the event, because if the short distance to the beach.
The Beach Camp is arragend for 100 camper, has toiletts and electricity but no shower.
Who would like to go to bed early or who only want to listen to the sound of the waves has take a wrong decision with the Beach Camp.
The Beach camp is not only a sleeping place for surfer and visitors, but only a place for the special festival atmospere.
Beside the Beach Camp there are 6 campingsites, which offer 500 spaces for caravan, travel trailer and tents. This campingsites are located max. 2 km from the event arena, where the day and evening action takes place.
A VW Shuttle Service will collect the visitors from the campingsites.
In addition in shortness of the beach there is special place for caravans with water connection, showers and toiletts.
Further possibilities for some accommodations are to rent appartements or holyday flats in Pelzerhaken/Neustadt.

The diameter of the slowdown killer is 4,6 meters high and it's provided with a safety net.

| Lydecker live at the surf-Festival Pelzerhaken Another good news for all music lovers and those who like to rock in front of the stage - the Live Band called LYDECKER will perfom at the surf-Festival Pelzerhaken.
The band was founded by the surf buddies Turbo and Flash Lydecker in 2007, they found 3 other musicians and the band was complete.
After several concerts and festivals in northern germany and their cd release in 2009 they are going to rock the huge stages and are listed in the playlists of the radio stations.

| surf Young & Fun Challenge For the first time the “surf Young & Fun Challenge” for kids and teens takes place at the surf-Festival Pelzerhaken .
And that means for you:
Every day two Traingssessions will be offered, one in the morning, the other one in the afternoon.
In the first session we show you the basics of windsurfing. The “surf Young & Fun Challenge is for all kids and tenns aged 8 to 12 .
Please note: You have to be a swimmer / swimming skills are required.
This training session will be equipped with the finest youth and children's materials of the brands JP Australia and Neil Pryde.
The second session is for the Advanced aged 11 to 18 , here you will learn you the latest freestyle tricks and many more . The materials will be also sponsored by JP Australia and Neil Pryde.
Our special highlight for you, Philipp Köster will be your coach at the Surf Young & Fun Challenge.
For all the general sessions and participation:
You will be guided for 2 hours by the coaches of the TEAM waterworld. They will assure a successful and effective training session.
Who wants to practice after the training can use the offers of the surf Testivals.
Each participant gets an "Action Pack" consisting of a Lycra event shirt, surf magazine subscription and winning ticket to attend the surf Young & Fun Summer event on Ruegen (10.07. - 17.07.2010).
In the early evening each participant will attend at the "dinner for the stars" – a hearty pasta party with all participants and guest star Philipp.
The costs for the event are 19 € per person.

| Klaas Voget auf den surf-Festival Pelzerhaken Klaas Voget at the surf-Festival Pelzerhaken
The 31 - year-old Klaas Voget from Hamburg (sailnumber G-4) belongs to the professionals in the windsurfing szene for a really long time.
One of his most spectacular races of his career took place at the Surf World Cup Sylt 2009. With inhuman performances he captured the second place.
Klaas started 11 times, then successfully eliminated the three times Waves Champion Kauli Seadi (Brazil) and the new champion Josh Angulo (Cape Verde) .
After more than three hours at about five meters high waves and more than eight wind forces he placed himself into the second place behind Alex Mussolini.
Klaas will hold a workshop and give windsurfing tipps for the participants of the surf-Challenge at the surf-Festival. Of course he also has time for signing autographs and the event guests.

Here you can make fast catamarans, tricky Sandpiper and agile optimists and flit over the water!
You can also show your skills at balancing on the Slacklines and take part at the Beach Rallye.
At the rallye you have to answer lots of tricky questions about windsurfing and with a little bit luck you are able to answer all of them. And if you are at a loss just ask the exhibitors they will help with words and deeds.
For every completed rallye sheet you will get a little surprise and of course a main prize will be drawn at the stage.

| Norman Günzlein at the surf-Festival in Pelzerhaken One year after he quit his career as a professional windsurfer and has started his training as a professional diver, freestyle ace Normen Günzlein comes to the surf-Festival Pelzerhaken to hang out at the NeilPryde / JP-Australia booth.
Besides signing autographs Norman also has time to talk about his professional windsurfing career and his training as a professional diver. If it is windy enough he will show you the latest freestyle tricks on the water.

| F2 Speed Challenge 2010 The F2 Speed Challenge has been established meanwhile in the program of the festival – so it take place again this year!
Speedjunkies - get ready for the fight against the clock!
Everybody, who has been standing on a surfboard, can compete at this challenge.
The GPS system of the F2 Speedteam will give you your personal time. The fastest speedsurfer of the 4 event day s will be the owner of a brandnew F2 board!
The participators can start with their own quipment or the equipment of all the exhibitors at the event area.

| Windsurfboard - real wood veneer at the surf-Festival Pelzerhaken 1 ½ years ago, the two students Eberswalder Magnus Hoffmann and Martin Lüke (university of applied sciene Eberswald) started a rather unusual project in their special field wood technology. Their aim was to produce windsurf boards with real wood veneer. A high- risk project with such a very complicated freeform. It was necessary to find solutions to much problems.
After the surf season in october 2007 Marcus and Martin decided to build new windsurfboards as a new technical project for their studies with the help of the university .
For this project a technical drawing was necessary to shape the finished Blancs out of EPS blocks by the control of the computer in the latest progress.
The biggest problem was to get a 0.6 mm to 1.2 mm wood veener around the form of the board.
From an initial project follows the degree dissertation. With the support of Jürgen May (Boards & More) six other boards were built with astonishing results concerning appearance and strenght.
At this completely new materials have been used for the bord builing. The both students put the boards through its paces as a compar ation to the series of Ernst Brust (Velotech.de) in Schweinfurt.
The first computer tomographic pictures were shot , which show the inner life of a board in an impressive manner.
At the surf-Festival Pelzerhaken they will introduce the next generation and give you an insight into their work. | |
| The current successfull brand of Stand-up Paddling at the surf-Festival Pelzerhaken The late-breaking notification from APM Marketing announced that Starboard and Serverne are coming to the surf-Festival Pelzerhaken and that they will also enter the Stand-Up Paddle Board Race - this means big competiton for the other teams because the Starboards SUP's won in all open catergories at the Stand-Up Paddle Board Worldcup.

| Bernd Flessner at the Surf- Festival Pelzerhaken After 20 years of success Bernd Flessner G 16 (14x German Champion) changes from the brand F2 to JP-Australia in the next oder upcoming season. For him this means back to the roots...
Bernd is happy about his brand change: "The fact that JP is launching a Formula Board for the first time on the market in the upcoming season and has constructed really successful Slalom Board in the past was a criteria to change the brand. For me personally that means also "Back to the family".
The Managment and the Shaper are former friends of mine and with most people of the team I worked successful and professional in the past. Another advantage is that the Boards and Sails are distributed by the same company and JP Boards have been tested with NeilPryde Sails.
I'm really happy about this new challenge. After 20 years of regatta sports this is a big challenge and a new motivation for me to capaitalize on the great success in the past years."
The DWC takes place during the surf-Festival, so Bernd has tom commute between Pelzerhaken and Fehmarn, if it's windy enough.
Of course he will have enough time for workshops and for signing autographs.

| Philipp Köster at the surf- Festival Pelzerhaken The new german shooting star Philip Köster will be at the surf- Festival Pelzerhaken.
He made a name for oneself after his glorious win at the Worldcup Gran Canaroa and the Red Bull Storm Chases 2008.
He is the first windsurfer besides Robbie Naish & Björn Dunkerbeck, who won a Worldcup at the age of 15!
He convinced the judges with his technical clean wave riding and breakneck jumps at 6-8 Bft.
He has all the skills to become one of the best wave riders in the world of windsurfing.
Philpp lives with his parants on Gran Canaria and it is unbelievable that he has surfed for 5 years.

| Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V. is aboard of the surf-Festival Pelzerhaken Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V. (VcA) is a charity based organisation located in St. Pauli /Hamburg and was founded by Benjamin Adrion (former Football Player of FC. St. Pauli)
The priority aim of VcA is the improvement of the drinking water supply in third world countries. (developing countries) To reach this aim many innovative campaigns and events have been already arranged in the past, e.g. "WASSER!MARSCH" and "WATER DAYS 2007 & 2009".

| Naish comes with windsurf newcomers to Pelzerhaken Naish comes with the windsurf newcomers Tobias Schwarz (17), Leif Bischoff (18), Johannes Witte (22), Kevin Langbehn (15) & Nico Prien (15) to the surf- Festival Pelzerhaken 2010.
Some of the Naish riders have already achieved their first success – Tobi became the winner of the Prokids Contest 2009 and Johannes made the 17th place at the Wordcup Sylt (Freestyle).
The guys will show their talent and action on the water at the beach of Pelzerhaken.

| Stand-up Paddle Board Race This year again, the brands RRD, JP,Fanatic and Naish invite you to the Stand-up Paddle Board Race. Stand-up Paddling is a new water sports discipline and brings a lot of fun especially on windless days. Paddling while standing on the board is easier than you might think and takes just a few minutes to learn.
Apart from the relaxation effect paddling is also a good full body training – Nordic Walking on the water so to speak.

| Windsurf fleamarket in Pelzerhaken For the first time there will be fleamarket during the surf-Festival Pelzerhaken for private bargain hunters and of course everybody else, who wants to sell his used windsurf equipment.
The fleamarket will be arranged by the located winsurfing clubs “Windsurfing Club Neustadt e.V.” and “Windsurfing Club Lübeck e.V.” and takes place nearby the event area at the 15.05.2010.

| LeFly at the surf- Festival Pelzerhaken Enjoy livemusic!
With a new musicstyle called "St. Pauli Tanzmusik ", a mix of Rock, Hip Hop, hard liqour, Reggae and turntables, the guys from "Le Fly" will rock the house. Since 2005 LeFly have inspired the crowds at festivals and clubs. Who gets to know these men will see the world through different eyes and join their sect of dance. | The Beach Party Four days full of sun, beach, windsurfing...and party! Every evening will be a big beach party: nice people, fat beats, surfstars, premieres of windsurfing movies und cool drinks will make this partys unique and unforgettable. Also – livemusic at the beach! The self-named sect of dance "Le Fly" will rock the beach with their "St. Pauli Tanzmusik". | the Venue Pelzerhaken is an urban disrict of the city Neustadt and located directly on the Baltic Sea.
It is close to the region called the “Holsteinische Schweiz” which includes huge areas of forests and some pretty nice lakes. The “Holsteinische Schweiz” is about 80 kilometres distant from Hamburg and 35 kilometres away from Lübeck.
The festival terrain reaches over 13.000 m² of sandy beach as soon as 25000m² of campsites and parking spaces, near to the beach.
The surf spot of Pelzerhaken is perfect for windsurfers, from beginners up to advanced riders. Beginners will find a good and save practice terrain in the huge flatwater area, which reaches to about 400m away from the beach. An upstream sandbank serves as a natural mole and even in very stormy conditions the waves rolls are very small up to the beach.
Behind this flatwater area, about 500-600meters away from the beach the surf zone begins. This zone meets the expectations of the advanced riders. On good days, when the eastern winds are blowing with about 5-6Bft, nice waves arise up to 1.50meters height, which invites the wind surfers to radical jumps and some sweet waverides.
Pelzerhaken offers over 2000 sunny campingsites for the watersport-loving camper, as well as holiday flats, cottages, private rooms, hotels, boat harbours or some nice lakes in close near to the Baltic Sea beach. | |
| The surf-Festival Pelzerhaken The surf-Festival moves 60 kilometers from Fehmarn to Pelzerhaken. We had seven awesome years at Fehmarn but now it's time for a change. The organizer, European largest windsurfing mag "SURF", expects that this raise the possibilities to develop the festival.
The new festival area grew a lot in the last years. Also the nearness to Hamburg and best conditions for beginners and advanced surfers are best qualifications for an successful event at Pelzerhaken. A stage will be the central point of the Surfcity and offers place for interviews, tombolas, live-music and much more.
More than 10.000 surf-fans from Europe will be part of the Surf-Festival for testing the latest stuff and celebrating a huge party during the Ascension Day weekend from 13th to 16th may 2010. | |
